The photos below demonstrate my skills in learning how to shoot in sequences. Over the course of one week, I acquired images of students at Arizona State to provide audiences with a little insight into their daily lives. As college deems as the most transitional period of early adulthood, I wanted to capture the raw essence of how students spend their time between work, school and society. I was able to capture six subjects in various different shooting style methods to achieve my concept.
What's it like to be in college?

Sawyer takes her studies very seriously. Nickerson takes a more relaxed approach and just likes to rewatch lectures and slideshows. “I color code just about everything,” says Sawyer. “It’s easier for me to understand what I’m looking at.”

Nickerson and Sawyer like to take 20-minute study breaks to try new hobbies. Today their new hobby was learning how to shuffle correctly. “I have been trying for years and still can’t get the bridge,” says Nickerson. “I’m not leaving this chair until I’m able to do it.”

Jordyn Ealy, a sales associate and student at Arizona State University, stares at her reflection in a mirror at Buffalo Exchange in Tempe, AZ. Ealy strives to wear the clothes that she wants instead of following trends. Buffalo Exchange welcomes uniqueness and embraces one’s self. “I love my outfit today,” says Ealy. “Red is my favorite color and I thought of no better place to debut my new top than at work today.”

Silverman and Ealy and not just coworkers but great friends. Ealy got the job first and the first person she thought should work with her was Silverman. “Everything just kind of fell into place,” says Silverman. “Work doesn’t feel like work, I have great people around me and a great work environment, what more can I ask for?”

Whitney Heritage (left) and Chandler Nickerson, students at Arizona State University, enjoy some downtime after class. Nickerson enjoys reading books after classes because she feels that she's more alert and can pay attention to the details of what she's reading. Heritage catches up on some emails before she heads to work. "Wednesdays are usually a big day for me," says Heritage. "It's all work and no play."

Whitney Heritage, who is a student at Arizona State University, likes to spend her Friday afternoons reorganizing and cleaning her room. She says it's usually the only day she gets to have a me day. "Fridays are just my get my life together today," she says. "I usually like to stay in on Fridays."

Chandler Nickerson, who is a student at Arizona State University, likes to spend her afternoons reading. Right now Nickerson is into anything Colleen Hoover. "I just love her," she says. "I have all of her books."

Avery Larson, who is a student at Arizona State University, likes to spend his weekends around the house. He makes sure he fits in enough quality time with his fish, "Twinkle Toes."

Avery Larson, who is a student at Arizona State University, starts his Friday off by completing his homework. "I can't go an entire weekend without checking Canvas," he says. "I even bring my laptop to work for when I go on break."

Avery Larson, who is a student at Arizona State University, likes to give into his sweet tooth once in a while. "I love the Toll House cookies," he says. "I always like making them after my Friday night shifts.
